Hey, friends! It's time for the Fall release at The Greetery! We've got lots of pretty new products to show you over the next few days, so let's jump right in!
First up today, is a card just for all of you fans of the white farmhouse & ironstone look! Are you shocked at how neutral this card is (for me)?! Haha! I made it just for you guys! Mwah!
I used several new goodies here! The background was made with the handy new Shiplap Builder dies that create those cute shiplap panels! You can use them as accents or as I did here, to build a whole background "wall". Before gluing each "board" to the card base, I rubbed the edges with a really soft gray ink pad, just to distress them ever so slightly.
Next, I used the new Pitcher-esque stamps and dies, to create that sweet pitcher! I wanted to kind of mimic the look of ironstone, so I just stamped a single layer, of the three layers that make up this pitcher image. I stamped a soft gray on white card stock, to get close to that white you think of when you see ironstone.
I filled the pitcher with branches I created with more new stamps & dies. The new Bittersweet Bouquet makes those big bittersweet branches, and the All Blessings Flow stamps & dies were used to create the other smaller accents.
On the front of the pitcher, I added the Hello Autumn sentiment from Bittersweet Bouquet.
All of it is layered on a portion of a Cozy Cup Coaster die cut. That is the handiest little die.....I use it all the time!
PRO TIP: Don't forget that you don't always have to stamp all the layers on multi-step images. There are times when you might prefer to do as I did here, and just stamp a single layer. I chose the middle layer. The solid base layer has no shading detail and the top layer is just a bit of shading detail. The middle layer has the best of both!

Ok, so let's talk about this crazy fun background!!!! I used the new Square Dance stencils, which were designed to allow you to create your own plaids. BUT, you can also use them to create really fun patterns like this one!!
I used a single stencil from the 3-stencil set, to achieve this look. I started with the lightest color -- the yellow -- and stenciled yellow squares on the white card stock. Next, I stenciled on the orange. I used the same stencil and just shifted it up slightly, making sure to keep the lines straight, and blended the orange right on top of the yellow. Then, I did the same thing with the red, followed by the plum!
You could do this in a million different color combos! Or you could change directions and have your squares running horizontally instead of vertically like mine.
PRO TIP: Sit down and play with this concept, mixing colors and arrangements. Spread your squares out a bit more, or tuck them closer together! Just let yourself play and create, without the pressure to make something for any specific card. When you get done, you might have some patterns that you aren't totally in love with, and you'll probably have a whole stack that you LOVE! And then the next time you sit down to create, you can let those pretty backgrounds be the jumping off point for some new cards!
To finish this one off, I used the new All Blessings Flow stamps and dies, to create the sentiment as well as many of the berries and branches tucked behind. There are also a few that are from Bittersweet Bouquet, mixed in as well.

One more for today! This one features the new companion set for Top Down Day called Top Down Autumn Day!
I couldn't resist stamping that little car in brown tones for Fall!
Look at that gorgeous background texture!!! I used the new Square Dance Die to cut out that pretty panel, and then just popped it on the card front with foam adhesive.
Up top, I stamped one of the Top Down Autumn Day sentiments and popped it on a tag from Speed Tagging, and finished it off with a bit of thin Hobby Lobby yarn.
In the car, I stamped the cut pumpkins (in real life "Cinderella Pumpkin" colors, of course!) from Top Down Autumn Day. Under the car, are a couple strips of card stock, including one die cut with one of the Crimped Frame dies.
PRO TIP: Any large frame die can also double as a really great border strip die, just by using only one side of the die cut frame! You might as well get even more mileage out of those dies and look for multiple ways to use them!
