Good morning, friends!!  It's a shiny new week, and I've got lots of card-making goodness in store for you this week, so I hope you'll pop back in often!  To kick things off, I'm joining my friends at Pinkfresh, to show you some items from their newest release featuring their new Essentials Slim Cuts dies that allow you to make some fun, long, skinny cards!  I've got three to share with you today....let me tell you all about them!

First up, I decided to make some cards to encourage others......what a perfect time for that, with the quarantine happening!  It's the perfect time to make a card and drop it in the mail to brighten someone's day!

I used the Embroidered Blossoms stamp set and dies, to create these flowers and clustered a big pile of them in an arch around my sentiment from the You've Got This stamp set.

Along the bottom of the card, I used one of the new Slim Edgers dies, to actually die cut the card itself.  I ran it through my Vagabond, already folded in half and the die cut both the front and back layers of the card!

PRO TIP: If the sandwich on your machine isn't quite tight enough to cut both layers, add a simple shim of a piece of paper or two, until you have enough thickness to cut both layers at once.  It's much easier to make sure both the front and back cuts line up, if you cut them at the same time!

Sending you strength.....such a great sentiment to send to someone during this crazy time, don't you think?  It's also from the You've Got This stamp set -- I used that same set for the sentiments on all three of today's cards!

I used the Ornate Oval Frame die on this card, to frame out the sentiment.

PRO TIP:Don't forget that you can always trim off a portion of a die cut, if it doesn't quite fit within the confines of the space you're working on!

Around the frame, I accented the sentiment with two clusters of Embroidered Blossoms flowers.

PRO TIP: When using two opposing floral clusters, keep one much larger than the other, so it becomes the focal point.  This way, the two clusters don't compete and one is the 'star of the show' while the other becomes a 'supporting character'.

One more for today!  For this one, I used the new Slim Diagonal Stripes die, to cut out the background stripes.

I used some spray adhesive to make quick work of gluing it to the card base.

For the sentiment, I used one of the long banner dies from the new Slim Ornate Banners die set, however I just trimmed off the decorative end, to house my sentiment popping up out of the flower cluster.

PRO TIP: We usually include a few different colors of flowers when creating a floral cluster, but don't forget to use a couple different greens for your leaves as well!  Adding in a little variety in your leaves, creates more depth and interest.
