Hello, friends!  It's the kickoff of the Greetery March release!  On Friday, all of this month's new releases will be available for sale, which means that every day until then, we'll be bringing you all kinds of ideas and tips and tricks for using these new goodies!

In a time where everything feels crazy around us, I'm so grateful for this card-making hobby-turned-job.  Here's the deal.  Making is so therapeutic! So whether you're knitting or painting or making cards, I encourage you to MAKE something!  It's just good for the soul.  Whether you have a dime to spend on new things or you're gonna put to good use, the stash you already have, make something because it'll be good for you......and then if you've made a card, mail a card because it'll be good for someone else!  Seriously, this whole card-making hobby is PERFECT FOR RIGHT NOW!  Cardmakers unite!  This is your moment to shine!  We can pop a card in the mailbox the good old-fashioned way, and send someone a smile!  We could ALL use more of this right now!  Plus, you know what the Bible says about it being better to give than receive!  It just FEELS GOOD to give....even if what you're giving, is a card sent in the mail!

Also, if you do happen to have the means to shop for some new goodies, you can know that when you shop from The Greetery, you're supporting a small shop....a dear friend of mine, who's family works hard to bring you fun, innovative, beautiful products to create with all year long.  The Greetery is (obviously) one of my favorite small shops out there, and while I'm so grateful to be a part of this sweet team, I'm even more grateful that these products exist for us to create with!  They are a JOY for me to create with, and I'm guessing a lot of you feel the same way.  I'm sure I can speak for the whole Greetery team, when I say thank you for supporting this small shop!

So.....shall we chat about the cards I made today?  :)

I can't help but think about trying to encourage each other, when I sit down to create right now, so the sentiments in this DARLING new stamp set are just perfect!  "Need a lift?" Um, yes, please.....I think we probably all do!  Haha!

There are also new cloud dies, called Silver Lining dies, that I used here.  Just a head's up....the die manufacturer was apparently in the middle of making some of the dies for this release, when they paused to move their operation to a new building, and then in the middle of that....the quarantine happened.  SO, there will be a slight delay on a few of the dies (including this one) but the Greetery blog will be the place to check for which dies will be available on Friday, and when the delayed ones will be available, too.

Anyway, it's a stinkin' cute cloud die, yes?  It cuts a couple layers of cloud, as well as thin strips of trim on the clouds.  You can see here, that I used two layers of cloud, along with one of those trim strips.

PRO TIP: When using these dies, don't forget there are a variety of ways you can use them!!  A single row of clouds, multiple rows, add the thin strips in, too, or even use just the thin strips by themselves!

ANOTHER PRO TIP: For added interest, split up a two-part sentiment like this one, stamping them both in close proximity, but in two different spots to keep the eye moving around the card!

This new stamp set is called Top Down Day and features the cutest convertible car and a variety of things to put in it....and the sentiments are perfect for sending some cheer in the mail!  "Wishing you a top-down kind of day!" How fun is that?!  I put a big pile of flowers in the back of my car....the ideal car situation, in my humble opinion.  Haha!

OH, and on the background, that's a new stamp as well!  It's called Painterly Stripes, and it's a large red rubber stamp.  I stamped it once, and then flipped it around and stamped it again, to turn the stripes into a grid pattern.

Another cheery card for today....this one is just perfect for dropping a birthday card in the mail!

How fun is that car stamped in yellows?!!

This time, I stamped the background stripes once, and then shifted it slightly, to create a double-stripe pattern, using a second yellow.

PRO TIP: Remember, with background stamps like this one, you can use them in a lot of different ways, just like you can with those cloud dies I mentioned above!  Use it as a striped background, a checked background, a double-striped background, etc.  It's always good to look at ways to get a variety of uses out of your stamping supplies.  It just helps you to get more bang for your stamping buck!!

I stamped the sentiment on a Postal Frames die cut and popped my focal images on there as well.

This time, I chose some other images from Top Down Day, and put a cutie-patootie girl in my car, along with some balloons!

PLEASE NOTE that my girl is wearing pink and red.  That's all.  Thank you.  Hahahaha!!

I couldn't resist dressing her in what I would wear!  LOL.  But not to worry, your girl can wear whatever colors you like best, too!  :)
