Hey Friends!!
I'm thrilled to pop in this morning, with the happy news that the delayed dies from the March Fresh Air collection are now in stock at The Greetery!! The only exception is the Sentiment Starters dies, which should be in stock later this week, but you can go ahead and place your order for them now! Not only that, but The Greetery is offering you 10% off your purchase through April 24 at 11:59pm EDT & they'll match your discount with a donation to Meals on Wheels America, for their Covid-19 relief efforts! So not only will you be getting a discount on your order (plus free shipping on orders of $75!), but you'll be helping senior citizens who are isolated and in need of assistance! It's a win-win!
So in light of the happy news of the dies' arrival, we're sharing a few more cards with you, using some of these new dies! It's never a bad thing to get bonus inspiration, is it?! I was excited to create a couple more cards with these fun dies and couldn't wait to show you! I used a really fun, unique color combo and good golly, I love it!
And it seems on every card I've made lately, I've included sentiments that are perfect for sending encouragement to our loved ones, and these two are no different. I need to drop some cards in the mail soon, to try and brighten someone's day!
So for this first card, I used a Flappable Stencil to create that fun plaid background! It was intended for the flaps on envelopes, but it's just too cute to not use it on your cards, too! I just blended one color of ink on, then flipped the stencil over so the lines were running the other direction, and blended on the second color!
I die cut and stamped several flowers from the new Print Shop: Fresh Floral set and then used only the leaves from the BotaniCuts Rose die set, to die cut the leaves! I blended on turquoise and navy inks (linked below).
PRO TIP: Remember to think outside the box when it comes to the color of things like leaves. So often, we automatically grab a green for leaves, but part of what makes this pair of cards so great, is that I strictly adhered to that pink, orange, turquoise, navy color combo! Using the blues for the leaves is a fun twist and makes these cards super fun and interesting! For a fun twist, you could try FLIPPING your color combo, too! In this case, I wonder what it would look like, if all the flowers were turquoise and navy and all the leaves were pink and orange! Might be fun to try!
For this next card, I wanted it to coordinate but not be exactly the same as the first card, so for the plaid background, I did a similar thing with the pink and orange, but this time I used the new Painterly Stripes background stamp. I just stamped the stripes one way in pink, then flipped the stamp around and stamped in the opposite direction in orange. Easy peasy!
PRO TIP: Doing things like this -- creating similar diamond patterns with different products, on two different cards -- is a fun way to add a coordinated feel to a set of cards that you might want to create to give as a gift. It helps them to feel sort of boutique-ey and store bought! I love making things that look professional enough that they could have been bought in a store, but that I actually MADE! That always feels so good!
I used a new Sentiment Starters die, to cut out the "sending" and then stamped the LOVE with Alphabuds Slim stamps. Goodness, it's fun to play with color combos on these letter die cuts!!
To finish this one off, I added more of the same florals and leaves as I used on the first card! It's so much fun to create enough die cuts all at once, that you can use them to make a couple cards with! Might as well get double duty out of the time you have that stack of inks out on your desk!

I hope these cards give you a bit of inspiration to get creative yourself! During these crazy times we're all currently walking through together, I find myself feeling so grateful for the creativity the Lord has blessed me with! Being creative and having creative things to do at home, has sure helped this quarantine not feel *quite* so daunting! I hope you're all hanging in there and are able to make the best of your current circumstances, whatever they're like at your house.
And, I hope you're all able to snag the dies you might have been waiting for since the release! I love that you'll be helping senior citizens at the same time! So grateful for the heart behind The Greetery!
