Hey, friends!  I'm so glad you've come back today for more goodness from The Greetery!  I had SO much fun with this first card, I can't wait to tell you all about it!!  You're GOING to want to make one of these yourself, because it's seriously SO much fun!  And not only that, but you can play around with sooooooo many different color combos, just like I did here!  I pulled out some colors I don't use as often, and mixed them up with some of my favorites and the result is pretty festive, if I do say so myself!  Ha!

So, I used the new Pinwheel Party set to create this card.  I die cut several of the individual pinwheels, and then used the individual pinwheel stencils, to stencil on the color.  Good grief, this is so easy!  And I'm telling you....FUN!  You just pop the stencil over the top of the die cut and blend on some color.  It's so fast!  Then, turn the stencil a smidge to the open stripes, and blend on another color.  That's it!  Pinwheel done! Use different colors or the same color, but maybe lighter and darker on the stripes.  You can literally do these a zillion different ways, as far as your color choices go.  I used two different colors on each one of these.  I'll link up all the colors I used below, but I just pulled out a bunch and mixed and matched all of them.  And honestly, doing it this way with a lot of different coordinating colors, makes for a really striking and interesting finished card.

PRO TIP: Die cut a bunch of pinwheels and then take all your inks and the stencils in to your family room or wherever you hang out with your family, and you can totally just blend on the colors while you're watching tv.  When you're done, you'll have a pile of finished pinwheels just waiting for all sorts of festive cards!

The thing with this great set is that there are stencils to allow you to make really cute borders and garlands with these pinwheels, but once I got going with the individual pinwheel die cuts, I just had to cover a whole card front with them!  But there are lots of different ways to use this set, as I'm sure you'll see when you bop around to see the whole team's projects!

For the sentiment, I used a couple from Pinwheel Party, and turned them vertically so that I could squeeze as many pinwheels on that card front as possible.

PRO TIP: If you don't love the vertical sentiment, just turn the whole card on it's side and make a horizontal version!  Remember that you can ALWAYS do that!  If you see a card you like but don't prefer the orientation it was made in, flip it and make it the way YOU like it!  :)

Ok, so for this next card, I used lots of the new Cake Pops collection of products!!  These darling products will allow you to create 3-D cake stands with clear plastic "cake" bubbles that you can fill with candy or whatever else you'd like!  But I wanted to show you how you can also use these products to create a cake card, so you can get even more bang for your crafty buck, if you get these products for yourself!

Firstly, I used the Twisted Crepe dies to cut out the streamers from colored card stock, that you see at the top of the card.  And on the card base, I used the Ticker Tape background stamp again, that you also got a look at yesterday!  That fun confetti background is just so easy to add under just about any celebratory image you may have in your stash already!

As you can see when you look at the side of the card, I made the focal point really THICK, just like a cake, with lots of foam tape between the layers for tons of dimension!  I used the new Cake Pops Stand die, to cut out that scalloped mustard layer, and fluffed the scallops forward just a bit.  Next, I used the Cake Pops dies, to cut out all the circle layers, fluffing the scallops forward again on the teal layer.  The pink icing layers as well as the floral elements are also from the Cake Pops die set and then I used the Cake Pops Banner stamps and dies to create the sentiment banner.  The cute candles are from Cake Pops Banner, as well.  Lastly, I decided to make this card for a little 3-year old, so I used the Cake Pops Numbers dies to cut out the 3, that I popped on top!

This birthday cake card is not one I'd put in the mail (unless I was mailing it in a box with a gift), but this one would be perfect for hand-delivering!
